And More

amanda urenda

I’m too ruby too perfect

too full, too plump, it oozes from my pores

and makes a puddle at my two feet

my legs too short

your hands too slow to catch it

yet I’m too forgiving, granted

it’s because I'm too messy but

you’re too you and I'm too me which is why

I get too silent when you’re

too excited when I say ring me out.

Because I'm too juicy and too morbid

and I wanna be

too dry and too flaky so that I can go too limp

when I'm too sad because I’m too present.

I’m here but I'm there too.

There’s enough me for two, which is too much

or at least that’s what I was made to think.

So when I say 3 2 and you start too early

I don’t take it too much to heart.

Now I'm too lifeless like you thought I wanted.

Since I thought I was too much with too little

and its true for most but not too true
