My Stuffed Sheep

Your soft white
Fluff covering your body
Has matted
And dirtied
Over the years
You have been by my side.
A pink nose
Once sewn in
For many kisses
Has now unraveled.
Half-present,
Half-memory.
We both
Grew older
Together.
Now you lay
In a box, and I
Move on
